Description
Another legendary Broadway bomb - this one closing after about 3 weeks of previews in Washington, in spite of the direction of Vincente Minnelli. A true collectors item - I can find no c0py of it having been sold on eBay.
As to why the cover cartoon is in Italian - loosely translated as "There is no greater sorrow, than to be mindful of the happy time in misery" - and what it means is hard to say, but it is dated as Dec.1967, and the show closed December 7th.
Oh, by the way, both Pernell Roberts (of Bonanza fame) and Blythe Danner ( of Gwyneth Paltrow fame) were in this turkey, and lived to tell the tale.
AND it is only one sided, with 8 tracks.
