Please be aware that all records are VISUALLY graded only - all grades are given based on how they appear under my desk lamp - since I do not own a record player. I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description. This auction is for a rare, collectible stereo 1st press copy of the Beatles double LP 'The White Album'. This is the original press with the embossed title, unique number (23477) and top opening sleeve.
This is the South African pressing and carries a high curios value as it's on the Parlophone label. For the vast majority of countries this album was released on the Beatles' newly formed label Apple, but some countries out there still had the later Beatles LPs issued on the Parlophone label.
Not hugely rare, but pretty collectible and sweet to own based on it's unusual labels.

The top-opening cover is holding up okay but is showing its age somewhat. The front and back have creamed a little and have little laminate bubbles in places and creases that have browned. Someone has gone over the embossment of the title with a pen. The seams are holding fine, the spine has some creases in it but is holding okay with no splits. Inside gatehold is cleaner but still yellowed a little. Overall, holding okay but with some light damage and staining. Disc 1 (Visually Graded Only!!) : G++
The playing surface has a nice shine to it but has a fair amount of light scuffs and surface marks.

Disc 2, again, has a nice shine to it and a fair amount of light scuffing, not quite so much as disc 1, though. Disc 1 Labels : VG
Both labels have nice, bright silver text. There's some light but noticeable spindlewear and the initials CMN have been written on the side 1 label in white pen. Overall, not looking too bad! Disc 2 Labels : VG
