Description
1968 DUKE PEARSON Now Hear This BLUE NOTE First US Liberty Stereo labels (1966 to 1970 only design), no mono except fold downs by this time. This will be a 49 to 51 year old album. Van Gelder stamped run out grooves, so it's his mastering as well as recording, and sounds great with it. Duke was a great composer and arranger for Blue Note in this late 60s era, as well as a great pianist. He is mainly on acoustic grand but also has a Fender tune or two. There are also Chick Corea & Frank Foster tunes here, both in typical late 60s "Blue Note house sound" Pearson arrangements. Sleeve has an import clip of the top corner, but no other issues, spine is readable. Vinyl is unmarked near mint, clean labels also, very slight warp having no affect whatsoever across two different tables. Without cleaning, this played near mint throughout.
