After much prayer and careful consideration the BENTON FAMILY decided to do this, their first long-playing album. It is a real joy for me to have a small hand in this work. Singing is a serious business with the Bentons. It is their ministry. Christianity is not just something to talk about— it is their life. Here in this album you will find a wholesome family group singing their most requested songs, selected to give the greatest inspiration and sung as only they can sing them. I hope they will have the chance to do for your life and home what they have done for mine. Combining their efforts to make up this fine group are Harold Benton, his wife, Ada, daughters, Beverly and Gwen- dolyn, and son, Steven. Each individual member is very tal- ented not only in singing but also in playing instruments. The children started singing when they were old enough to talk, and since that time they have carried the Gospel in song. If you live in the vicinity of Kingsport, Tennessee, you may hear the BENTONS over radio station WKIN where they feature many of these and other great gospel songs that give strength, comfort and hope to the weary travelers on life’s way.
