Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! "DESOLATION" is the first album by CUBY and THE BLIZZARDS released in the U.K. 1968 coinciding within heights of the British blues-boom, a storming scene still reflected upon 60's years onward by record collectors gathering the greats including artists Mayall's Bluesbreakers (Clapton, Peter Green, <Mick Taylor), P. Green's Fleetwood Mac, Savoy Brown, Graham Bond Organization (Bruce & Baker pre-Cream), Chicken Shack (Christine McVie Perfect), Sam Apple Pie, The Yardbirds, Rolling Stones, Free, Black Cat Bones, Pretty Things, Groundhogs, Ten Years After, Taste, Ashkan, and so on.
The Dutch scene remembered for the sixties beat garage fuzz punkers released a slew of highly sought 45's included a bunch of Lp's including, Q'65, Livin' Blues, The Subterraneans, etc. and above all, Cuby and The Blizzards who produced several albums beginning in 1966 and on through the years.
"C+B" led by superior guitarist Eelco Gelling and vocalist Harry Muskee, released their first album "Desolation" containing reflections from the garagey Dutch beatrock era is highlighted in the lead off track "Things I Remember" complete with Yardbirds ending rave-up. Muskee's vocals were perfectly suited for the blues with raw whiskey soaked tones. Further on Cuby & The Blizzards featured burning blues masterworks, in a style they became famous for. Eelco was so efficient in expressive guitar frills, word of his exceptional guitar talents caught the attention of the Rolling Stones who offered him a spot in their line up after Brian Jones left the band; though Eelco declined the offer, the Stones settled on Mick Taylor, late of Mayall's Bluesbreakers.
"Desolation" Lp is filled by creeping smokey blues with feelings and the 'right' sound, cementing the bands world-wide reputation for years to come.
