PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE 1968 ORIGINAL psychedelic-laced underground folk & psych by ex-main 'heads' from the remarkable Les SINNERS '66 / '67 garage psych band, here in '68 as "La Revolution Francaise" ...
Original vocalist Francois Guy quit the mighty Les Sinners in October,1968. His next move was to form La Revolution Francaise with fellow Sinners guitar player Jean-Guy Cossette, bassist Georges Marchant, and drummer Louis Parizeau. Signed by singer/producer Tony Roman's small CANUSA label 1968's "C.COOL". Produced by drummer Parizeau, the album showcased Francois Guy in the role of front man, handling lead vocals and responsible for all of the material. Compared to the Les Sinners catalog these tracks were clearly in line with the former groups acid edges with an attempt to adapt keep hip audiences interested. While the first side wasn't exactly lysergic drenched wildness, it was clearly as experimental as some of the wiggy SINNERS previous works, tracks like 'Et La Terre Tournera' incorporating a tasty hard rock edge while retaining the earlier group's memorable melodic sound. Even the tuneful 'Coule L'Amour' and the Baroque-tinged 'Pierre-Paul Ladouceaur' reflected a modest psychy feel complete with pounding keyboards and drifty, acid influenced atmospherics. Yeah, 'Bingo' was little more than a studio throwaway, but having one loser on side one wasn't a major crime. The side long title track was a different story. Set against strumming acoustic guitars with appopriately strange sound effects, isolated electric (fuzz) guitar runs, and even a sitar interlude, the song featured a strange, meandering mixture of spoken word narratives and isolated song fragments. Guy sounded pretty intense (or perhaps simply delightfully stoned reflecting as a creative enhancement!).

CONDITION: The cover: The cover is all around solid, VG++ with cool hip/acid drenched cover design, including the STRANGE black & white back cover. Certainly there is nothing to complain about here when talking 49 year old UNDERGROUND teen-scene artifact, rarer than you may imagine...no split seams, no bends, no writing... oh, tiny bb delete dot at bottom right is no more than unnoticeable...(!)
The vinyl: is all glossy both sides, CLEAN "EX" (excellent) very clean ~ reflecting a SOLID enjoyable listening experience and plays fantastic ... both CANUSA labels are clean ~
