We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Gotten scarce in decent collectible shape...here's an original issue! Contains the original printed Reprise Records inner sleeve....
Highly sought after 1968 first pressing on the legendary STEAMBOAT Reprise label of the sixties -- AXIS: BOLD AS LOVE was the follow-up to ARE YOU EXPERIENCED?, and represented a much more conscious use of the recording studio's possibilities. Where his live shows continued to showcase the raw rocking power of the Experience, the recording studio gave Hendrix the composer/arranger a broader palette.
There are still plenty of powerful blues/rock-inflected songs, such as the menacing "If 6 Was 9," the rolling "Spanish Castle Magic" and the spatial title tune. But "Up From The Skies" is a jazzy trio romp, featuring Hendrix's bluesy, vocalized wah-wah pedal. And on the ballads "Little Wing" and "Castles Made Of Sand," Hendrix shifts the focus from the band to the silvery chord/melody accompaniments he often employed to complement his vocals. They are an orchestral effect unto themselves.

CONDITION: The cover solid all over thick gatefold with a little light shelf wear and slightly around the edges, VG+(+) ... no split seams, no bends and no writing ...after 43 years the colors are bright and sharp....
The vinyl both sides are still all glossy; side one is near VG++ with some very light top surface hairlines, side two near VG+ has a few more (top surface), so play grade: expect the deep groove pressing to play enjoyable ...and with CLEAN Steamboat reprise labels too! One of the better original copies we've seen in awhile...42 years ago legend!
