We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. SCARCE...Original 1968 first pressing...in awesome (weight heavy) textured and triple thick gatefold cover that includes inset photo insert pages ....delivering a super-deluxe sonic audiophile quality sound of the famous second album by the dynamic SCOTT WALKER, one of his most powerful solo albums, given the killer *plus* performance rating by collectors all over the universe.

Unique to many upon first listen ... one may wonder what the hell this is, but upon listens, the listener gets mezmerised and even weirded out by the catchy hooks within...Beyond categorization, beyond genre, beyond description. Scott's music is powerful, whether at a joyful, smirking gallop, a brooding melancholy shuffle, or a dark and heavy embrace of doom. He does it all amazingly well. Extraordinary vocals, lush, sweeping arrangements by probably some of the best musicians in the world, and incredibly odd, entertaining with touching lyrics.

One might not often find music that can truly be called sweet or beautiful, but Scott's often fits the bill. "Black Sheep Boy" calls up a lump in your throat. His clever and creative use of imagery and wordplay breathe life into gems like "Next", "The Girls From the Streets", and "Plastic Palace People". Without describing in depth every song on Scott 2, Lets just say that Scott 2 is a perfect introduction to his music. A bit more accessible than Scott 1, number 2 displays a more playful side, and lays a sonic groundwork that sparkles and leaves you wanting more. That's what draws many into Walker's world. Just like in his début he starts with a cover of Jacques Brel, "Jackie". A song endowed with a breathtaking atmosphere, very similar to the sensation left by "Mathilde" a year before. Things hadn't changed a lot, although there were some novel touches. There are three covers of the Belgian giant again, perhaps the best moments in the album, and the whole is still dense, dark and beautiful. However, the guy from Ohio chooses sharpening the songs' dramatic side. He lets them stand, he gives them value with the lazy and powerful cadence of his voice. He gets it perfectly well. A master musical storyteller, Walker's 3rd and 4th albums follow up in perfect fashion this terrific set of songs. Start with any of these earlier albums, then venture into his later releases, which really reach into the twilight zone. Nevertheless a fantastic album to listen to on most occasions and better in cold weather.
