It has been said that a song sung from the heart reaches the heart. There is nothing that touches the heart as quickly as a gospel song or hymn sung by someone who really believes in what he is singing. If the message of a song is to have a spiritual meaning and draw men closer to Christ,' the listen- er must know that the singer, in a personal way, knowsthe one of whom he sings. The life he lives must tell that person that he sings from a heart of love led by the spirit of God. You will quickly sense this as you listen to this great gospel album, THE SPROLES FAMILY SINGS FROM THE HEART. The Sproles Family, as it is today, is composed of To B. (Dad) Sproles , now in his late seventies . Time has only made his love for God grow deeper. His flesh is getting weaker,. but his spirit is stronger. He sings lead on four songs on this album in the family quartet. Other selections are done in trio arrangement. He is featured on two of hi's own com- positions, "Since The Love Waves Reached My Soul", and "The Happy Bye And Bye". Tom sings bass in the quartet and baritone in the trio and is featured on "Zions Hill"o Aside from being a versatile sin- ger, he is also an ordained Baptist minister and pastors a church full-time and does revival work. Bill has a wide range and can sing tenor, lead, or baritone. He is featured on "He Looked Beyond My Fault". He plays the electric guitar on all selections. Jill sings the alto in a smooth manner with much poise and Christian dignity. She also plays the piano and accordion and does the arrangements for the group. She handles all the business, correspondence, and engagements for the group. Their aim in singing the gospel is to reach souls for Christ— always endeavoring to choose songs with meaningful mess- ages. This is a collection of songs which very nearly voice all the various moods of the human soul produced in an un- usual, fresh,' and wholesome manner by a versatile, skilled, and dedicated group. This album has been produced with the sincere desire that these twelve great songs may touch the heart and be a bless- ing to all who hear it. Tilford A. Salyer Credits Engineer............
