NOTE: eBay has implemented its new FEEDBACK policy to which ANY customer for ANY reason or ANY excuse can give sellers (i.e. "us") negative feedback. Please understand, we have served thousands of "satisfied" customers and processed thousands of orders - far more than our feedback records indicate - It is our intention to give EACH and EVERY buyer our best possible service and we are known to ALWAYS deliver your purchased item. ALL items paid for are processsed 'outbound' to each and EVERY customer, satisfaction guaranteed. Keep in mind we have serviced THOUSANDS of satisfied customers and our aim is to continue to do so.
We make every effort to mail all orders out Friday of each week. Keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two at most. We also strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.
TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS: We often get requests to hold orders to save on shipping. We are happy to do that. Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and IF YOU REQUEST we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel. To receive continual shipping discounts, we will hold your orders as long as you want, but it is necessary to pay each invoice you receive to stay current. Most importantly, we appreciate your business.
1969 rare original HEAVY HEARTY BLUES ROCK RIPPER!
TASTE
...USA - ATCO RECORDS - SD 33 - 296
MINTY CLEAN...
1969 first pressing of this outstanding HEAVY blues rock guitar trio that came out of nowhere and delivered a smashing gem, this, the original first TASTE album, featuring the then unknown Rory Gallagher, who stomps it up all over the place.....
The first "taste" of Rory Gallagher to the world. And, indeed, the focus really is on him and his guitar-prowess being the center-point of this album. A classic bluesrock-power-trio that burns the blues like the world had never heard in 1969...standout tracks are all over the place..."Born On The Wrong Side Of Time" has a a great riff and equally good lyrics and hook line making it a classic; a real infectious tune. The guitar tone on 'catfish' is absolutely CRUSHING! "Suger Mama" is a heavy blues shouter that all the legends would have been proud of. Overall its a consistent album that launched Rory to stardom as one of the greatest blues players of 60s-70s with his distinctive sound and catchy riffing, just check out the playing on probably the most exciting track, "Blister on the Moon", excellent stuff!- "Blister on the Moon" - 3:26
- "Leavin' Blues" - 4:15
- "Sugar Mama" - 7:14
- "Hail" - 2:35
- "Born on the Wrong Side of Time" - 4:00
- "Dual Carriageway Pain" - 3:13
- "Same Old Story" - 3:32
- "Catfish" - 8:04
- "I'm Moving On" - 2:29
CONDITION: The cover is very solid, all seams are tight, the structure is stiff, a very hard cover to find in clean after over 40 years and having dark tones, this copy is nice VG++ to "EX" (excellent) with only a hard to see little delete mark at bottom center...still easily very collectible.
The vinyl is very clean and all glossy clear M- TOP CLEAN ... the whole album plays in top levels = enjoyable.
