Hi and thanks for looking at what must be one of the rarest of vinyl records. I am not a record dealer (though I guess I am just now!) but I know that a quick google of this record gave me only two results! I understand that there were perhaps only 100 copies of this ever made and it was made to promote the new born 'Harvest' label in 1969.

"This is believed to be a DJ promo only release to help ‘launch’ the newly formed Harvest label. It promotes the first 4 albums on Harvest from Deep Purple, Michael Chapman, Shirley & Dolly Collins and Pete Brown & His Battered Ornaments.
Steve wondered why SHVL753 had been omitted from the sample record and I can advise him that it is my belief that Panama Limited Jug Band’s album was not released until around September/October of 1969 (despite it having the third catalogue number in the sequence between Pete Brown’s SHVL752 and the Collinses’ SHVL754), thereby not being ready in time to be included on the sampler…" "It’s a definite rarity, rumoured to be limited to a production run of 100 copies, and thanks once again to Steve for supplying the images and showing an interest in the site! Rest of Harvest section to be updated in next few weeks!"First let me say I realise what a minefield vinyl grading is! and I've seen this skated over on some listings with phrases such as "great condition for it's age" etc but I'm going to try and be as clear and honest as possible
As a music lover of almost fifty years of age I know when a record is done for....this is in pretty good shape! i'ts not 'mint' but it's not been abused and is at least 'very good' and then some. It has light surface marks, a couple not so light and a scuff or two...none of these can I feel under my finger but saying that I have nothing I would dare play it on and have already stretched my favours on a friends system (in london) playing others I will list so I have not 'listen' graded this record as I just don't have the time. I fear I may be talking the condition down but I'm erring on the side of caution. You are welcome to view before auction ends if it is at all possible for you...that's a bit of fluff seen in one of the pics btw, if you want more pics then just ask. The cover is front laminated and whilst the front is in great shape, the back while in pretty good shape too has a scuff just after track listing 5 and also there is some light staining down the left hand of back cover (see pics) Well there you have it, thanks again for looking, please feel free to contact me oh and yes I'll pack it the way one would expect such a rare record to be sent in proper packaging.
Silly Ol Starting price! I've see what one other sold for three or four years ago but have no reference to it's condition Thanks again for looking and good luck if bidding!
I've guesstimated postage, I think it will depend on insurance etc but we will agree as to how to send and if i've overestimated then I'll sort it...it won't be an issue.
