1969 Jimi Hendrix U.S. LP ARE YOU EXPERIENCED Mono First Pressing
The Jimi Hendrix Experience album "Are You Experienced" RARE U.S. Mono edition of their FIRST LP from 1967--it is an ORIGINAL PRESSING on the REPRISE "Steamboat" label (REPRISE R6261). There is no question mark after the word "EXPERIENCED" on the front cover; on the record labels, "EXPERIENCED" has a question mark at the end of the word. Chas Chandler, ex-ANIMALS bassist, worked closely w/Hendrix and the group as the producer--JIMI HENDRIX was not only a skilled guitarist--he was a great songwriter who wrote songs like THE WIND CRIES MARY, ARE YOU EXPERIENCED?, and PURPLE HAZE, all songs on the album, that combined poetic lyrics w/strong melodies framed by psychedelia and rock, pop, R&B, and blues.This is a beautiful copy of the rare MONO version of the first album by the JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE--
