Description
1969 Led Zeppelin II LPRobert Ludwig Hot Mix RL Atlantic Records SD 8236
Up fo your consideration is the highly sought after Monarch RL SS on both sides example of Led Zeppelin II. This copy kicks butt and is fun to play. Comes protected in a Mofi sleeve.
Cover Jacket: VG, there are some seem splits, edge wear, light foxing. See pictures for these areas, Overall it presents very well and is nice but by no means excellent.
Vinyl: VG
Nice thick vinyl with absolutely no warps and still glossy. It does have numerous scuffs and the finest of scratch lines from use.
Sound: VG+
This is very dependent upon the resolution of your system. I played this on a very revealing setup with a MC cartridge and horn speakers that reveal a softer crackle throughout quiet passages, however I’ve also played this on a vintage tube setup with JBL speakers and the surface noise was minimal . That being said this vinyl has no scratches that cause skips and no observed pops regardless of playback setup I’ve used. Overall I think it plays better than the grading given above and on most systems his may be closer to .
Labels: Beautiful shape Side1&2, No observed spindle marks include"MO" suffix (indicating Monarch pressing) and "Mfg By AtlanticRecording Corp., 1841 Broadway, New York, N.Y.".

Notes
US 1st pressing, featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mis-track, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Another engineer was then hired to recut a much less "hot"version of the album, and that is the far more common version.Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
