PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1969 first pressing in THICK grainy gatefold cover of the very first MOTT THE HOOPLE ... Springing forth out of nowhere in '69 was this group of talented longhairs who delivered fiery hardrock & memorable melodies fusing imaginative freewheeling throughout their first album made "Mott The Hoople" successful with a Stonesy swagger, Kinks-ian crunch, and Dylanesque cynicism making for one of the great blueprints of hard UK rock. Kicking off with the monumental jammer "You Really Got Me" which turned many heads in all it's raging fury. This is followed by "At the Crossroads" and "Laugh at Me," that demonstrates their depth showcasing the talents of Ian Hunter. Then, to cap it off Hunter turns in "Backsliding Fearlessly" and guitarist Mick Ralphs kicks home Mott's first anthem with the pile-driving "Rock and Roll Queen." At these early stages in their career, Mott the Hoople is wildly imaginative and invigorating, and that's enough to make this a fine debut. The sides reveal a band whose rowdy power is matched by sly humor, clever twists, and fierce intelligence -- all qualities they built a career on, and this blueprint still stands the test of time.

CONDITION: The Cover: The stiff and solid grainy gatefold cover is a TOP copy, M- and hard to find the 42 year old artifact this clean. It's very sharp and colorful with no bends, no writing and no split seams
