PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1970 first pressing of a vastly still unknown by many, but the rewards are within like buried treasue...the rarity strong and rare enough that was exchanging hands for the $200 mark as far back as the 80's ...
SO this rare 1970 Canadian rarity is overall well worth trying to score...the obscure LP remain well liked and highly collectible, filled with original Folk Psych memorable melodics; Introspective, political, moody and psychedelic veins running through the varied styles giving it the right edgy sound. So rare, because it was only released in Ontario, distributed by hand by Winston where the group played. On the small private label Ergo, this private press featuring only 2 guitars, organ, bass and drums with NO additives. Some tracks with only guitar and vocals change over to abstract song poems with the double guitars/organ band backing. The title track is an absolutely stunning masterpiece and there´s no bad tracks on either side of the platter.
Though Winston George's two albums never became best-sellers, they maintained a universal cult following, large enough to warrant making the leap to a CD reissue decades later, and long after Winston George and the band retired from regular stage performances.Any Direction, released in 1969, features fourteen of Winston George's original songs. The Lp contains compelling intersting moody atmospherics, and, in many people's opinion, stronger of the two records, marked by Winston's distinct pleasant vocals and Bill Gunn's dramatic organ. There's a hint of period mysticism here, and psychedelia. The cover sports a black and white image, created by Gil Moll, that looks like a Rorschach blot running asymmetrical.
