SCARCE 1970 original sought after first pressing by this Pacific North West hippie quartet on the obscure Quad Records label, and they deliver an interesting blend of moody self composed, organ/guitar led tracks, with a bluesy feel...
1969's "Hard Heartsingin'" pulled together and polished off the band's earlier demos. There's a slight Doors influence and the opening title track and a couple of others sports a modest Jim Morrison and company resemblance. Sure, there's a dark and ominous feel to most of the ten original tracks (remember these guys were from Portland), but propelled by Snider's raspy voice and Doyle's Hammond B3 organ, original material such as 'Early In the Morning Rain', '21 Years' and 'New Orleans Queen' (complete with in-studio flubs) sported a cool blues-rock vibe. The album is quite listenable which is the reason for collectors scrambling to find a copy and stands as one of the better entries in the genre.
Quad Records actually floated a single 'Smokey Joe's' b/w 'Coming Back Home' (104) and while the 45 began to attract West Coast airplay, MGM subsequently decided to close down Quad Records leaving the band without support. They called it quits within a matter of months.

CONDITION: The cover: bright and glossy colors VG++ clean with small delete drill at top right, handled reasonably well... very collectible copy with no split seams, no bends, no writing... very collectible from 40 years ago go.
The Vinyl: all clean and shiny on both sides M- looks and plays TOP LEVEL....
