*** ATTENTION!

Please carefully read our entire listing to answer any questions you may have,  including discount shipping rates at end of listing; then contact us directly with any other information you may need.

WITH MUCH APPRECIATION TO ALL OUR CUSTOMERS:  If you have a question on orders received, please contact us.  We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied.   When leaving Feedback, please consider the following:  eBay's policy on the 5-star rating system is anything less than a 5  reduces our standing with eBay and ultimately can affect our selling abilities.   SO please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music!  We have served thousands of satisfied customers  - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of  2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays.  Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order.  Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERS:  We are happy to hold orders to save on shipping.  Please pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and, if you request, we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.

As always, thank you for your support!

USA -Reprise Records - RS 6368 ~ WHITE LABEL PROMO

SUPER RARE 1970 Original WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL vinyl pressing in thick gatefold ...really hard to find collectible...

Old 60's and early 70's white label promotionals are SO hard to find...as limited pressings sent out to select radio stations they were almost immediately sought & collected by music fans, most copies of such are in private collections ...known to be the first pressings off the freshly cut masters - the white label promo retains the *best* sound quality...

1970 hard blues classic featuring the expressive and dynamic guitar theatrics of Peter Green, in his last performance before he flipped out and quit the band...

"Then Play On" album is a joyful experience. The amazing Peter Green (guitar, vocals), the steady rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood (drums) and John McVie (bass), all fresh from some serious schooling in the ranks of the legendary John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, formed Fleetwood Mac in 1967, joined by guitarist Jeremy Spencer, and, just before this set was recorded, guitarist Danny Kirwin. Their first couple of albums [FLEETWOOD MAC (1967) and MR.WONDERFUL (1968)] were well-received by critics and fans alike in theie native UK -- with THEN PLAY ON, the band began to expand their songwriting horizons, while remaining true to their blues roots.

The guitar work from the triumvirate of Green/Spencer/Kirwan is stunning, as are their vocals -- each infusing his own compositions with a unique personality, yet fitting into the overall sound of the band at the same time. There are some memorable unbeat, rockin' tunes here -- but what stands out after all of these years are the slower, moodier pieces -- vocals and instrumentals alike.

Green's 'Closing my eyes', the second track on the album, is one of the most heartfelt expressions of loneliness and despair heard -- but it's not maudlin. He can sing '...one day I'll die -- maybe then I'll be with you' and it doesn't come across as trite for even a second. Danny Kirwan contributes three tunes in this laid-back but strongly emotional vein as well: 'Although the sun is shining' has an achingly beautiful, unusual chord progression -- 'When you say' and 'Like Crying' are gems as well. The instrumentals -- Kirwan's 'My dream', Green's 'Underway', are things of beauty, and the two jams 'Searching for Madge' and 'Fighting for Madge' allow the bandmembers to stretch out a bit in a more upbeat vein.

There are rockers here as well -- notably two classics from Peter Green, the classic 'Oh well' and the playfully nasty 'Rattlesnake Shake' ...

This is a truly classic recording -- from the band's finest hour. It's no RUMOURS -- and that's a good thing...!

The vinyl is still highly glossy having a few random superficial scuffs, although a couple show more of a visual alert, nothing is audible, and just a visual thing. visual VG+, audio: "excellent"
