Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. RARE and sought after ORIGINAL 1971 BRITISH first pressing...on the highly collected SWIRL VERTIGO label ....in great minty condition (see details below) ...

Graham Bond was one of the most extraordinary characters you could ever wish to meet. Even when the world was full of hellraisers like Keith Moon, Vivian Stanshall, Jimi Hendrix and the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Graham’s World seemed crazier than most. His mid sixties Graham Bond Organization is legendary containing 2/3 of CREAM and whose subsequent album is worth $200+ on the collectors market.

WE PUT OUR MAGICK ON YOU was based on Graham Bond's interest in white magic and Druid and Celtic mysticism. He released two albums in '70 and '71 and intended a third as a trilolgy surrounding the concept of white magic. The band, a flexible unit, featured some of the top musicians Britain had to offer, came together in 1970 and included Rick Gretch (Blind Faith), Victor Bronx, Alex Dmochowski, Jon Moreshead from the Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation, and other seasoned performers. While accessible to the rock & collectors market, both albums have been praised by critics and fans. Their music was very much blues & jazz oriented at the onset, Their 1970 album ("Holy Magick") was part one of a planned trilogy of album releases.

In 1971 Bond released this second Magick album, the superior "We Put Our Magick On You" which was intended to be the second part of his Magick trilogy. The theme behind this album was Eastern mysticism, in particular the Hindu and Aquarian philosophy. The lineup for this album had changed, but the sound was an extension of the debut only with different themes and more of a blues direction. Again the album was released on Vertigo and went over heads at the time of release so Bond postponed the third part of the trilogy and took a break from the music business. Unfortunately, he died a tragic death in 1974, when he threw himself in front of a moving train, and the trilogy was over.
