Paul Bley & Scorpio 1st UK MILESTONE LP NM in SHRINK
Transatlantic pressed these for this 1st year UK Milestone issue in 1972, and they sound great. An intriguing slowburn of an 'out there' Fender Rhodes trio album from Bley with Dave Holland and Barry Altschul. I definitely prefer this to them accompanying Corea in the ARC trio albums. Bley mixes it up with a bank of Keys on this 1972 Milestone session live in the studio, so no overdubs, some vintage synth, and acoustic Piano, 4 different Keyboards used both alternately and a couple at the same time. As you can imagine, complex rhythms to this, and the music is Bley tunes, him and Carla plus a couple from Annette Peacock, so he keeps it in the family, as she was also his former wife. Slight warp not affecting play, clean barely played lp still in its original shrink by the look of it. Plays near mint, no damage to sleeve either. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
