Description
For sale is a rare 1972 7" 45 RPM record by Jim Estes & The Blue Echoes. This is a private press tribute record released on the Golden Voice label (matrix 834G-2529 / B4KS-2529). The A-side features the "Ballad Of Walter Reuther," a tribute to the legendary UAW president who died in a plane crash near Black Lake, Michigan, in 1970. The B-side is "Black Lake Michigan," referencing the UAW education center located there. The label features a distinctive ring of blue stick figures holding hands. Both songs are written by Lee & Estes and produced by John McGill. This is a unique piece of Labor Union and Michigan history. The record plays in Stereo.
