Original AFRTS transcription LP RL‑11‑3, pairing Engelbert Humperdinck’s In Time with Michael Nesmith’s And the Hits Just Keep On Comin’. Produced exclusively for U.S. service members and distributed to military bases worldwide, AFRTS discs were never commercially sold and often feature unusual pairings of contemporary pop and singer‑songwriter material. Humperdinck delivers smooth orchestral pop interpretations of early‑70s standards, while Nesmith contributes stripped‑down, introspective country‑folk‑influenced singer‑songwriter performances. A representative example of AFRTS’ early‑1970s programming, capturing two contrasting but highly recognizable artists in a non‑commercial broadcast format.

VG+ record / VG sleeve. Both sides retain strong gloss with only a few very fine hairlines and several dot scuffs, most of which appear gloss‑deep or just beyond. Playback on test deck revealed minor consistent surface noise typical of AFRTS pressings, expected to diminish on higher‑quality equipment. No skips, tracking issues, or significant pops were noted. Labels are clean aside from minor ridge wear on Side 1 and handwritten “259” on Side 2. Sleeve is VG with light fading along the opening, minor ring wear, and adhesive delamination along one side; no true seam splits. Playback may vary depending on equipment; sold as‑is.
