Description

This is for a 1973 compilation record which is often known as A Sampler for Singles Only. However, this is the far less common version which was available through the radio station KNDE (aka Kandie 107), and has custom Kandie promo inner labels, and a great trifold cover with cool art on it which is also customized for KNDE! Tracks follow description, but this compilation included the Pink Floyd song, Money."

Jacket shows outside edge and corner wear, but the seams of the trifold are nice so the art looks good. Spine (which is not a trifold seam) has about 1 1/2" of litho chipping. Visually, vinyl shows scuffing/light scratching (can't feel them) and under light, there is some circular groove wear on Money. This was playtested. Side 1: has some background surface noise/crackling in track 1 which minimizes, but there is minimal background crackling occasionally. It is minimal. In Money, there is minimal background crackling at the very start, then there are a few (I counted 8) hard tics or soft pops in the beginning of the song (maybe a minute or less in), and the rest plays clean. These hard tics/pops are from the aforementioned circular groove wear. Side 2: has minimal surface noise, with a couple of hard tics/soft pops, and then the final track, Carpet of the Sun, has a some harder tics/soft pops in it, too.

Very hard to find this version!
