1974 AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL JAZZ FESTIVAL, MOBILE, ALABAMA LP A real unknown scorcher here. I could find absolutely no information on this release. Styles varying from hard bop, funk, spiritual leaning/free jazz, and a couple smooth tracks. Breaks all over. Heavy on the Fender Rhodes, electric bass, scorching sax, fuzz/wah on a couple tracks. I believe Billy Byers was involved in the organization, and playing on some of the tracks. I'd go so far as to say there's no filler, it's all pretty amazing. I've hung onto this for many years, knowing that it's a special one, but it's time to move on to new ears. Sleeve::::VG/VG+ gatefold, corner wear, one small split at the spine & edges (see pics). VInyl::::VG/VG+ visually graded there are some scuffs on both LPs, but surprisingly do not effect the play to any large extent. NO SKIPS, with some surface noise, occasional pops, mostly evident in the quieter spots. There are some parts of the LPs where the aforementioned flaws are virtually inaudible.
