Burleigh The Concert Choir is one of four choirs in the choral program at Emory & Henry. Their annual tours have taken them from coast to coast for concerts sponsored by churches, schools, colleges and universities; they have sung on both radio and television; and they have appeared on the community concert series in three cities. In 1964 they were invited by New York's Christ Church Methodist to present a concert as part of their celebration of the World's Fair festivities. They were selected in 1969 by Music Ministry magazine to record the Hymn-of-the-Month series for nationwide distribution, and in 1972 they sang for the General Conference of the United Methodist Church. In December of 1972 they went abroad where they sang in a number of the famous cathedrals in Europe, including Notre Dame in Paris and St. Peter's in Rome. They also participated in the International Choral Festival in Rome, where they received the highest honors given. The 1975 tour, which featured music on this recording, took them to the nation's capitol and included an appearance at the Washington Cathedral. EMORY S HENRY COLLEGE CONCERT CHOIR CHARLES R.
