Description

"The Velvet Underground & Nico," U.S. STEREO REISSUE LP of the group's FIRST ALBUM-- this copy is a 1975 PRESSING on VERVE Records V6/5008 distributed by POLYDOR--here, the version of the cover has the "UNPEELABLE" Printed Banana on the front--it DOES feature the GATEFOLD COVER that was there when the LP was first issued in 1967.  THE LABEL is BLACK w "SILVER T-SHAPE"--on the record label, the publishing is credited to "Oakfield Avenue Music."  These songs are some of Lou Reed's best and the album is acknowledged as one of the most influential albums in rock music--sales were poor when it came out and it took a while--thanks to people like David Bowie who co-produced Lou's WALK ON THE WILD SIDE and had been spreading the word about the VELVET UNDERGROUND--till people caught on.                                                                                                                                        The COVER is VG+ shape.                                                                                                                                                                           
The RECORD is VG+ to EXCELLENT shape.
