1977 Folkways LP (Sacred Guitar and Violin Music of the Modern Aztecs
“Various Artists – “Sacred Guitar and Violin Music of the Modern Aztecs” (Ethnic Folkways 4358). This 1977 LP features ritual music of the Nahua recorded in the Huasteca region of Veracruz collected adn recorded by Paul Jean Provost and Alan R. Sandstrom. Cuts include: “Xochipitsauak”; “Sacred Music (Entering House / Setting the Altar / Ritual Begins / Offering Is Consecrated / Preparing to Leave House)”; “Dance of the Tiamatiketl”; Ayakachmitotia-Rattle Dances (Nopalli / Koatl / Ethokani).” Eight pages booklet included. Record is in strong VG+ condition and and cover is in M- condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
