FRIARS, AYLESBURY, BUCKS, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 26th 1977 !!!!
A DATE I WILL NEVER FORGET !
Not because it was the first time I saw The Jam, but because I didnt !!
I was 15, lived in RAF Holton, near Wendover, near Aylesbury, I was into punk, specifically, The Jam. I had my ticket for the Aylesbury gig.....BUT.....my dad told me we'd been posted back to Germany, after I had already bought my ticket, AND that we'd be in Germany before the date of the gig !!!!
So, I couldnt go to the gig !
A couple of weeks after that fated evening, I received a letter from the UK, it was from my best friend Sean, who DID attend ! Inside was the piece of paper shown above :-)
It helped, a bit :-)
Anyway, time has passed, so this is up for grabs.
Its not a retrospectively cobbled together set of The Jams autographs from Weller and From The Jam gigs, it was signed at the time, by all 3, together, in 1977 :-)
The biro ( ? ) written autographs etc are still very clear and legible, just a tad faded after nearly 40 years, the actual piece of yellow paper has creases, as can be seen in the photos. The rear is blank.
Please note, my camera has a couple of shade spots on the lens, which may be visible on some pics, they are not marks to the items.
The autograph set will be well packed, and sent Royal Mail 1st Class Next Day and Fully insured !
