Description

Offered is this 1977 MCA-3029 LYNYRD SKYNYRD "Street Survivors" Original Flames Cover in good to very good condition. No bar code. Vinyl is in very good condition with minor light marking. Plays well. Cover is in good condition. Corners are in good shape, some ring wear and the camera flash picks up some minor splattering. MCA slip cover and insert are in nice condition. The original cover sleeve features a photo of the band, particularly Steve Gaines, engulfed in flames. Three days after the album's release, the band's chartered plane crashed, killing Ronnie Van Sant, Gaines and others. MCA pulled the original cover and replaced with a similar image of the band against a black background. The album was an instant success, achieving gold certification just ten days after its release. It would later go double platinum. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
