"Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds" is a U.S. 2-LP from 1978 featuring RICHARD BURTON as the narrator--it is based on Science Fiction writer H.G. WELLS' book THE WAR OF THE WORLDS--the musical guests include JUSTIN HAYWARD, DAVID ESSEX, actress/singer JULIE COVINGTON, PHIL LYNOTT, and CHRIS THOMPSON from MANFRED MANN's EARTH BAND.  It has a GATEFOLD COVER and it features a beautiful booklet.
