Long Beach, CA 90807 #DBP*228 Writing Sing A New Song has been an experience of pure joy for me. When the people of Scripture Press asked if I would write a musical for them, I prayed that God would in- spire it and bless it. My aim was to set Bible truths to "singable” music. The songs were intentionally written in keys that child- ren’s voices can master. The musical is filled with catchy melodies and lyrics that are natural to the expressions of children. The record will teach the musical pieces very quickly as the children listen and then sing along. It can be a very helpful tool in the teacher’s hand for VBS, children’s choirs and Christian schools. This has truly been a family project. With my husband Dean's constant inspiration, added to his technical ex- pertise, and our young son Billy Dean's enthusiasm for the Bible and music, our family has enjoyed and prayed for each step of this project. Many years ago Dean and I dedicated our lives for Christ- ian service. This is why we are so excited about Sing A New Song. We can picture many children singing this program for their communities as an outreach ministry. A special thank you to our Good News Kids’ joyful voices and smiling faces that you hear and see on this album. The Good News Kids are a new and exciting addition to our family outreach presentations. They are from many different schools and churches from Southern California in the Long Beach area. Alj prayer is that as children learn the Bible along with these musical numbers, it will stay with them all through their lives.
