1978 THE DAMNED 'Love Song' Dodgy Demo Co
This is my first copy of the Damned's Dodgy Demo - it has the brown sticker label. 

I somehow managed to scratch the b-side so helped myself to a new copy (which I sold ages ago).  The scratch is 4 mm long and I have pointed it out with a light pencil arrow.  It causes a pop every revolution for the first 25 seconds.  I could also hear one tiny faint pop on the a-side.  Apart from that I have played it all through on both sides and it sounds brilliant.
It's in its original sleeve which has a couple of grubby marks on one side.  I have a spare blue label sticker which I can put either on the b-side below the hole or on the sleeve to make up for the scratch.  If you buy it let me know where you would like it.  I cannot send an unstuck label!!

The Damned Dodgy Demo is a promo which was given away at gigs. 250 copies were given away free at The Damned's Electric Ballroom gig (23/12/78), another 250 copies given away free at The Damned's Croydon Greyhound gig (14/1/79).

The remainder were sold by mail order through an ad placed in one of the music papers by The Damned’s then manager, Rick Rogers. I know this because Rick then asked me to collect all the replies to the ad and mail out the dodgy demos. I also had the job of sticking the labels over the holes in the records!
