Description
this is a one of a kind strat i had made for my specs in 1980...it was built by the "koontz // thurston" guitar luthiers of "dickyville, md. just outside baltimore md.. this company specialized in building guitars to the guitarist needs and they were good at it...this guitar i ordered was built to be a les paul in a strat guitar..wether that succeeded is up to the buyer...it is not a fender strat ! ..it is 100% maple with an ebony neck and the old fat frets that were so popular then...it is a thick body at two inches... this is a hardy solid guitar that i have never had to adjust..i mean the neck and intonation...it is bridged with an old reliable kahler lock and tremelo system and punching with a seymour duncan "custom" split humbucker that is controlled by an on/off switch in the tone pot..i have played it a lot through a marshall jcm 900 SL-X 50 watt amp double stack JCM900 double stack cabinets and a fender twin reverb amp and it is a sweet playing and deep toned guitar through this gear...
this is a 30 year old guitar and if you want to hear it call me and i will lead you to a site where my music gets play... (not bragging, good rock, i don't care about a music future, i am 62 years old and tired with heart trouble)
there are scratches and some paint problems and dings on the back and sides of the guitar. again, call and i will add pictures...it is the old fender daphne blue...and k/t had problems with there paint mix...there is a yellow mix where my elbow sat,,,it has ware...i will miss this guitar but need to reduce my load, music wise....
NOTE...this was an expensive project and i do not intend to let it go cheap.
