I have known the Cooke Family for almost 20 years now, and I can honestly say that they seem more like my family than just my friends. Over the years, our families have spent so much time together, I feel as if I know them as well as I know my own family. Through them, my family has made some of the best friends we could ever possibly hope to meet. The Cookes have touched countless thousands of lives through their singing ministry and witnessing about our Lord. For this, God has blessed them with success, happiness, and good health, so they can continue to travel and work for Him. I remember what the Cookes had (materially speaking) and where they came from when Hubert and Jeanette began singing as the Cooke Duet some 20 years ago. I know how far they’ve come since then and why they’ve had such success — they love the Lord and the work they do for Him. This is evident in every song they sing. They put their all into each one. Hubert, Jeanette, James, Ron, and Don make up one of the finest groups in gospel music today. They’re very popular with the people because they love the people. They’re always the same wherever you see them. I’m so proud of the Singing Cookes; the work they’re doing for the Lord; and the things they’ve accomplished through this work. I thank God for this very special family and what they’ve meant to me, my family, and all those whose lives they’ve inspired and influenced. I’m so thankful to have been blessed with such a close relationship with friends like these. Whether or not you’ve ever heard the Singing Cookes, when you hear this album, I’m sure you’ll be blessed. ,, Their fourth son EDDIE LANE Kingsport, TN
