Click to view supersize image Here we have Prince's 6th album, the classic 1984 LP "Purple Rain", the soundtrack album to the 1984 film of the same name. This is the second album to feature his backing band The Revolution. It was released on June 25, 1984 by Warner Bros. Records and is regularly ranked among the best albums in music history.
This record has been tested and plays very clean with no scuffs or scratches. The jacket is also in very clean condition with some very slight wear near the top. There is also a small saw mark near the bottom right of the jacket which was called a "cut out" in the record industry. These indicate records that have been returned by the original retailer back to the manufacturer. If the manufacturer tried to resell these returned records to another retailer, then the records would be marked by cutting a hole in the corner.
Also included with this record is the picture sleeve and original promotional poster, which is hard to find still included (and in perfect shape) with this LP. The poster features Prince and his band The Revolution ( See pictures to view ). Overall, this is a great copy of this timeless classic record, and is a must-have for any Prince fan!
