Description
This product is a 1985 German 1st Press double vinyl LP titled "The Very Best Of The Doors" by the artist The Doors. Released under Elektra Records, the gatefold sleeve features the psychedelic rock style the band is renowned for. The record is in black vinyl with a vinyl matrix number of R/S Alsdorf 960345-1 A2 XX, and includes a compilation of the band's greatest hits in stereo. The original inner sleeve and cover are included, making it a sought-after collector's item for fans of rock and psychedelic rock music.
Gatefold Sleeve has some minor edge scuffing and bumped edges, with no splits or tears around the seems, it still retains it shape. There is a crease on the bottom left hand corner on the front. It’s a clean copy with no obvious staining or colour deterioration. Images and text are clear and clean. A decent copy that’s still fit for purpose.
The vinyl LP is a decent clean, glossy copy with only some minor faint surface marks. Inner labels are clean with no obvious staining or deterioration. Playback is clean, crisp and clear. The only issue is a faint crackle on side 4, the very last track towards the end of the song, this is a faint crackle. This area does have three faint scratches. That’s all. Nothing of any concern with this vinyl album.
There appears to be two variants of this same album, the black and the red titles. This is the red titled copy.
A decent copy from 40 years ago.
