1985 Great Sounds Radio Show 4 Hr/4 LP (Eddie Fisher, Sinatra, G Miller)
“The Great Sounds (Unistar August 2, 1985).” This is a 4-hour and 4 LP radio program hosted by Ray Otis featuring music of the 30s, 40s, 50s and newer with emphasis on music from the great American songbook. Each program features songs and interviews with a special guest, a segment on Frank Sinatra, and some programs highlight a specific year. In addition guest artists, etc. tell behind the scenes stories of the time. This week sees Eddie Fisher as the featured guest with 12 Fisher cuts and also appearances from Johnny Dankworth, Al Klink, Barbara Mandrell, and George Weiss. In total, each program usually features 40-50 cuts by artists and also included this week are: Frank Sinatra, Cleo Laine, John Denver, Harry Belafonte, Glenn Miller, Helen Morgan, Dave Brubeck, Dean Martin, Patti Page, Tony Bennett, Jimmy Durante, Johnny Mathis, the Andrews Sisters, and more. Includes cue sheets (includes written notes, underlines, etc from stations plus a tear on cover sheet). Records range from VG+ to M- condition and cover is in VG condition (ring wear and a piece of tape.) Postage will be paid by purchaser.
