First Love is the debut Japanese-language studio album (second overall) by Japanese recording artist Utada Hikaru.
An R&B and dance-pop album, First Love centres on the theme of love and relationships. Songs like "Automatic" and "First Love" are prime examples of these themes. A 2014 re-issue of the album was released simultaneously, featuring a bonus live DVD and the special edition featured two additional discs. Critics' opinions of the album were generally favourable, praising Utada's song writing and vocal delivery. In its first week of release, the album entered the Oricon Albums Chart at number one with over two million units sold. Since its release, First Love remains the highest selling Japanese album. It has sold over eleven million units worldwide.

Utada Hikaru (??? ???, born January 19, 1983), who is also known as Hikaru Utada and the mononym Utada, is a Japnese-American singer-songwriter and producer. Born in the US to Japanese parents, record producer Utada Teruzane and enka singer Keiko Fuji, Utada began to write music and lyrics at an early age and often traveled to Tokyo as a result of her father's job.

Mint(MT) Record is still sealed and has never been played.
Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Near Mint
(NM) The record itself is in like brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent
(EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Very Good
(VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Good
(GD) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, etc. Fair
(FR) The record has played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. Poor
(PR) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc.
Sleeve grading
Mint(MT) Sleeve is still sealed and has never been played. Near Mint
(NM) The sleeve and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet, or poster are in perfect condition. Excellent
(EX) The sleeve and packaging have slight wear, stains, creasing. Very Good
(VG) Normal wear and tear on the sleeve or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good
(GD) The sleeve and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. Fair
(FR) The sleeve and contents are torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor
(PR) The sleeve and contents are badly damaged or partly missing.
