This little beauty is a very 1st pressing of Pink Floyd's 6th release and was the first studio album after the departure of Syd.
Released on GUY FAWKS night in 1971 (November the 5th) it reached the slot of 3rd position in the UK album charts.

The Vinyl:

 Glorious sheen to the record and wonderful sound reproduction. There are just a couple of incredibly light marks to the vinyl, which do not affect playback. I also noticed a small splodge of paint right inbetween tracks 1 & 2 on side 1, with light scuff marks of around 1cm near it, this created a revolutionary Shhh for the very end of track 1, into the very start of track 2 but then returns to wonderfully clear audio without background noise...It did not skip or stick on it, but this is the reason the vinyl gets a VG grading, rather than an EX-...I was playing this with a slightly heavier stylus setting and it did not create any problems for me. Side 2 is gloriously clear and free from any defects. I have just had the joy of playing her through on both sides and found a superb audio reproduction from a FLAT vinyl-I certainly did not find any skips or jumps!

The Labels:
EX.
 1st pressing labels.
They are slightly lighter in colour than the later Harvest labels. Also of note is:
EMI in a box at 3 O'clock, with "The Gramophone..." rim text, showing this to be a 1st pressing.
"MADE IN GT BRITAIN" at 6 O'clock at the bottom of the label.
NO writing, rips/tears.
Barely any hole wear and only a handful of light spindle marks-visible when angled towards the light.
NO WRITING.

The Cover:
VG+.
It is the ORIGINAL Textured gatefold cover. With texturing to BOTH the inside and outside. The spine has been just lightly rubbed, but NO SPLITS! With he corners also being just lightly rubbed..She remains solid.
To the inside gatefold there are some very light spots of foxing due to age-but hey, we all have them ;)

Paper, poly-lined, double windowed inner in great shape...Certainly done her job inprotecting this wonderful slab of vinyl.

SHE STILL PLAYS THROUGH WITH VIGOUR.
FLAT AS THE DAY SHE WAS BORN.
TEXTURED GATEFOLD.
