GREETINGS from RareVinyL ReCorDs.
This is a very rare album indeed! This is an original 1967 issue of "Save For A Rainy Day" by Jan & Dean on J&D Records 101. The thick record cover is graded at MINT 9 with beautiful seams and spine along with perfect printing on the spine. The shrink wrap is still fully in tact. The record has shiny, glistening vinyl and superb labels and is also graded at MINT 9. ( These labels are so difficult to get a clear picture of...in reality, the printing on the labels is sharp and distinct. There is also a circuclar crevice on each label that does not show up in the pictures. These "GROOVE" labels were on all of Dean's first pressings of this album. By the way, 2ND pressings were released on SUNDAZED Record labels).
TRIVIA: Dean at one time was seen selling these albums at an Orange County Swap Meet for $25.00 each. Also, Dean once walked into Wenzel's Music Town in Downey, California and offered to sell the owner (Tom Wenzel) a box of these albums for $10.00 each. Tom turned him down and then later told me that it was the worse decision that he had ever made. By the way, Wenzel's Music Town is where surf group THE CHANTAYS recorded their first album which was released on.....of course, Downey Records!
