Description
Here is the rare version of the RCA "Elvis Presley" album, LPM-1254, with the Side 1 label crediting the song, "Just Because," to "P.D." Numbers in the runout area are, on side 1, "G2 PP1282-3S," and on side 2, "G2 PP1283-1S." See photos for details on condition. I played this entire album on a good AR turntable just before listing it for sale, to verify that it sounded fine, and the stylus never got stuck or skipped. There was surface noise, but it was still enjoyable. Record grading standards seem difficult for me to specify. This record was clearly handled in ways that were not ideal, so there are scratches, scuffs and wear. There are lots of shiny lines around the center hole on both labels indicating a sliding of the record around on the turntable spindle before finding the hole. I have tried to get some good photos of the record and jacket. Note that the jacket is split along the entire spine, and also has splits of about 3-4" long along the middle of the bottom edge, and about 3" along the top near the opening. The RCA inner jacket has splits and tears. The outer jacket has a sticker that says, "21," adhered in the bottom part of the "Y" in "Presley." Also included is a thinner outer plastic envelope shown in one photo. This was with the album when I found it. I do not know if this is original plastic from this album. This album is sold strictly as-is, as shown here.
