This Lp was released on the 10th July1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 position for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

Only marked down due to the visual marks, rather than the audio output.
Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen. There are quite a lot of light marks....BUT  certainly NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP OR SKIP-I have just listened to the whole album and didn't find any
less enjoyment in the playback!
It looks at lot worse than it played....As she played through with minimal background noise and still packed a satisfying audio punch :)
Very nice indeed.

 There are quite a few light spindle marks, visible when angled towards the light, as well as an amount of central hole wear...Please see the detailed pictures....
Lovely raised "KT" tax code to side 1.
NO WRITING.
There is a small splodge of something-possibly removable-to side 2.
 Outer text "The Parlophone Co. LTD" (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.

The cover has been used and loved, with little fingers of spidering eminating from the seams, with only two very small crescents of spidering to the opening.
The edges are rubbed but not split. As are the corners.
The back card has some discolouration.
PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES.
Good STRONG & LEGIBLE spine.
The flipbacks are in solid condition, withcvery little wear to them, as can be seen in the pics.
WOULD MAKE A GREAT FILLER AT THE VERY LEAST.

THIS IS A VERY NICE EXAMPLE OF A 1st PRESS OF THIS ICONIC ALBUM-WHICH STILL PLAYS THROUGH WITH SUPERBLY RICH AND CLEAR AUDIO DESPITE THE MARKS TO THE VINYL-THEY CERTAINLY KNEW HOW TO MAKE VINYL BACK THEN!
AT THE VERY LEAST A VERY GOOD FILLER...AND IS PRICED AS SUCH-IT IS FAR FROM MINT.
