1ST PRESS (With Parlophone rim text)
This Lp was released on the 10th July 1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

LOVELY EARLY 1ST PRESSING HERE

VG visually VG+ audio.
Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen.
I have just given her a gentle, professional vacuum clean.
I see a lot of light marks, but found the sound reproduction to be little affected by these!
Having just listened to the whole album I didn't find any less enjoyment in playback...The audio was deep and rich and right from the start this Stereo copy sounded different to the Mono, with the cow bell ringing out in the left speaker, quite distinctly, through track 1 as well as the clear split of the guitar into the left speaker too..Really did make me look at this record a lot differently from the 1st pressing in mono. I noticed just some very occasional light pops which do not last for any longer than a couple of revolutions.
Very nice indeed.

Lovely and clear. Just light spindle marks, visible when angled towards bright light, with a small degree of central hole wear to side 2...Please see the detailed pictures.
Outer text "The PARLOPHONE Co. LTD" it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.

Remains solid, but has had handling and storage wear.
Large STEREO in top right corner. Shiny front cover...Please see the images for yourselves.
Some discolouring to the card backing...with 3 very small intials to the back top left corner-as can be seen in the images provided.
STRONG, but rubbed corners...The bottom right corner to the front has a small split of approx 2cm.
The Garrod and Lofthouse flipbacks remain in wonderfully strong condition.
STRONG LEGIBLE spine.
Has "Patents Pending" to back bottom right corner flipback.

It is the correct "USE EMITEX" inner, with the tracing paper lining...She has certainly done her job in looking after the lovely slab of vinyl!
NO rips/tears or writing.
