Description
From a massive collection of an audiophiles estate, a nice selection this week across all genres of vinyl, as test pressings, still sealed best sounding pressings, loads of treats for the finest tables and high end systems. Note the penchant for great Decca recordings, as here.
1st Wide Band 1969 UK Decca SXL 6439 of Vladimir Ashkenazy in Mozart Sonatas K576 & K310, plus the K511 Rondo, with a most desirable Harry Fisher mastering 1W1W set of stamper endings. This must be very near to the last of the wide band serial numbers, as the changeover was in 1970, and the sleeve is dated 1970, whilst the labels have 1969 on them, meaning one is the recording date and the other is the issue date. It will be much easier to find a narrow band of this, but here is a very nice first pressing of well reviewed performances.
Records in Near Mint condition, with clean labels with few spindle marks, excellent sleeve has two little sticker scars to the front filled in black so need looking for.
