This Lp was released on the 10th July1964. The 45rpm was released in April and at that time the Beatles' film had yet to get a title and as the story goes, Ringo emerged from a long days work saying "It's been a hard day," then seeing it was already dark added " 's night." This was then announced to the press as the title on the 17th of April. Ringo may have seen this phrase before in Lennons book "Sad Michael."
Holding a number 1 postition for a huge 21 weeks, from July the 25th!!!
This is also the ONLY Beatles album to have every track written by Lennon/McCartney.

QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL:159g.
VG(+). Lovely heavy vinyl with a gorgeous sheen. There are quite a few light marks, BUT certainly NOTHING TO MAKE HER JUMP OR SKIP-I have just listened to the whole album and didn't find any less enjoyment in the majority of playback, just some very light background noise, that's it! Very nice, deep and rich sound reproduction indeed!!

Labels: VG+. There are light spindle marks, visible when angled towards the light, as well as a very small amount of central hole wear...
 Outer text "The Parlophone Co. LTD" (ONLY 1st Press have this) it DOES have the "Sold in the uk.." text.

*It is the rarer E J Day cover...typically manufactured at a ration of around 10:1 in comparsion to the Garrod & Lofthouse sleeves.
Don't find this very often for Hard Days Night cover!!*
The cover has been used and loved, with little fingers of spidering eminating from the seams and just a few small crescents of spidering to the opening.
Each of the seams has had cellotape at one stage-It appears it was used just to protect the seams, as there aren't any splits. But the tape has left some residue.
NO SPLITS OR TEARS!!
There is an address in neat and small black pen to the top right corner on the back.

Good STRONG & LEGIBLE spine.
Fantastically strong flipbacks too.


Inner: VG. She is kept in a plain white inner bag with "Patents Applied For" print, as well as "Made In Great Britiain."
Die-cut corners, a little feathering to the opening and a split to the bottom.

A nice example of a classic record -NO skips or jumps....Comes with the rarer EJ Day cover too!
