Incredibly early press with -1/-1 Matrix endings  as well as 1/1 Mothers

Roll up, roll up all ye Beatles fans....Ready to be re-released by Disney in the near future as a 3D remake, it's The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE....
This was The Beatles' eleventh official album release and interestingly enough, the first album of theirs to included non-Beatles material. Released, after a delay, in mid January the album made it up the UK charts to the 3rd position....With The Beatles' 'White' album denying it the top slot.
There were only modest sales-in comparison with other Beatles releases-as the sales were around 800,000 within the first three months, but it did go over1 million sales by the end of the year. This could have had something to do with the album having only four original tracks and the rest was George Martin's film score.

So, here's the details of this album up for auction:

There are quite a few light marks to this slab of original vinyl..
After giving her a gentle vaccum clean,I played her all the way through and found a wonderfully deep and rich sound reproduction.
The biggest problem I found was the skipping right at the start of track 1, side , just having patches of vocals up to the line"..So we sailed up to the sun." Where she then went on to play without a problem. This is why I have marked the vinyl as a Good grading, down from an easy VG grade.
There was just the occasional pop through playback, with some minimal background noise and static evident between the songs, more evident on the insrumental side 2.
I noticed a couple of tiny micro skips on Sea of Time too-which I am sure will play over with a slightly heavier stylus than mine.
Flat, heavy and an all original glorious slab of vinyl! WOULD DISPLAY WELL

She has the all important statement "Sold in the U.K...." showing it is a first press as well as "Mfd. in U.K."...If you needed any more convincing other than those
 HUGELY EARLY MOTHERS/STAMPERS. Nice dark 1st printing run Apple, rather than the later lighter ones.
Only light spindle marks, which are really only visible when angled towards the light.
NO WRITING OR LIFTING
Very displayable...Very playable ;-)

Cover:
VG+.
 It is the original cover 1st printing cover.
 Has the two red lines above and below the text to the back.
The flipbacks are in superb condition, with their lovely rounded edges.
Has the GARROD & LOFTHOUSE credit and Patent Number: 943.895.
There is a small line of spidering to the front laminate near the opening, along with 4 small crescents of spidering. To the edges can be seen some tiny fingers of spidering ...REALLY NOTHING BAD AT ALL.
The corners have some light rubbing/knocking too.
To the back is a small name to the top right corner and 2 songs have their times written next to them.
SUPERB strong & LEGIBLE spine.

Inner:
Good.
 It is the original black die-cut inner with the window to one side.
The unfortunate thing is the fact it carries a split down one side and some tears near the window.
As well as creasing-but would we all after 51 years?! ;)

All in all it is a VERY rare, VERY first  pressing of a wonderful album. She is one heck of a rare beauty, sounds great and remains alltogether in her ORIGINALITY!!!
