I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND/I SAW HER STANDING THERE (Capitol 5112 1st pressing with west coast PICTURE SLEEVE, 1964): Clean VG+ picture sleeve; clean M- 45.
Collector-quality 45 and picture sleeve of the record that, at least in America, broke The Beatles as the biggest thing since Elvis. This isn't a bargain-basement offer for the novice, but a close-to-final-upgrade value for the serious Beatles collector.
The west coast picture sleeve (with thumb tab) has no writing, splits, or stickers, and only the slightest hint of ring wear. We grade it VG+ due to wrinkling and a couple of barely-perceptible tears at the top of the sleeve (one is 1/16"; the other is 1/32"). Many sellers would grade this desirable sleeve M-, but you know how picky we are.
The single has the scarce "George Pincus And Sons Music Corp." publishing credit on the I Saw Her Standing There side; this was the 2nd of 3 publishing credit variations on this single (the first, and most in demand, is the "Hofer" credit). There's every reason to believe that the Pincus credit version is at least as rare as the Hofer credit, but since Hofer was first, that's the one that gets the most attention.
This 45 is outstanding, with spotless labels and glossy vinyl. The labels show no wear whatsoever and the vinyl hasn't even a stray fingernail mark; we'd guess it was purchased and played once by somebody who didn't particularly like The Beatles. Their loss is your gain.
We estimate book value of this 45 and sleeve to be $150...
