DISK CONDITION: (visual grading)NM (very lustrous and clean vinyl; almost no spindle hole mark on clean Side 1 label & a faint spindle hole mark or two on clean Side 2 label); (play grading) VG++(mini background noise or mini ticks, part of which results from the disk mastering process<see additional notes>, are sometimes listened)

JACKET CONDITION: VG++ (some mini crinkles or wear or corner dents on seams & spine & the front/rear, but otherwise ; the cover is in great condition )

JAPANESE CRITIC COMMENT PAPER INSERT CONDITION: VG++( partially crinkly & faintly yellowish; some mini & faint stains)

ANTI-STATIC PLASTIC INNER SLEEVE CONDITION: VG+ (crinkly)

OBI CONDITION: VG++(some creases, crinkles, mini wear or faint stains; nice condition)

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Well known bop piano classics by two Bud Powell trios. Bud Powell's Roost sessions were originally issued as two 10" LPs (USA Roost RLP-401 & 412), both of which were then reissued as one 12" LP (USA Roost RLP-2224), which but was not complete because of lacking 4 tracks of RLP-412. In Japan, not those 10" LPs but the latter 12" LP was issued, but its track listing was the same as that of RLP-2224, and wasn't complete, too. This listed LP was issued as the complete edition containing all the song list of  those two 10"  LPs, and also features two original 10"(RLP-412 & 401) cover designs on its front and back respectively in order to please Japanese jazz fans. As for procuring the recording material for Japanese edition, however, Nippon Columbia Co. had trouble because they couldn't get from USA the 4 tracks<Bags Groove; My Devotion; Stella By Starlight; Woody'n You> of RLP-412. Finally, the reissue team overcame its trouble by borrowing original RLP-412 of quality condition from a jazz writer & collector and doing the disk dubbing of those 4 tracks. Thus those 4 tracks in this listed LP, as the sound of original 10" RLP-412, are more sharply and high-definitively than other tracks. Because of its disk dubbing, the surface noises of 10" LP 412 are listened, but those noises are at background static noise level.
