EXCITING PAIR of 45s...THE BEATLES & UNDERGROUND SUNSHINE:
BIRTHDAY/TAXMAN (Capitol #17488 on GREEN VINYL, 1994): UNPLAYED MINT 45 with JUKEBOX TITLE STRIP; plus bonus 45
UNDERGROUND SUNSHINE: BIRTHDAY/ALL I WANT IS YOU (Intrepid #75002 1st pressing, 1969):
CLEAN M- 45.
Capitol issued a measly 22,000 Birthday/Taxman GREEN VINYL 45s in 1994; it was the first-ever release of either song on an American 45 & it's never been reissued. Includes nice jukebox title strip.
In '68 The Beatles didn't excerpt any "White Album" songs for release on a 45. Pride of Montello, Wisconsin Underground Sunshine alertly stepped in for the Fabs & their version of Birthday (heavy on the Farfisa) reached #26 in the U.S. Close your eyes & it's a sizzlin' summer 56 or 57 years ago...
Either of these 45s is worth my price for the pair.
