Description

Offered are these 2 disks from Americn Record Company, Hawthorne, Sheble & Prescott. 

First Disk is a two-sided disk with a song on each side.  First song is "A Coon Wedding in Southern Georgia," No 030794 and the song on the opposite side is, "The Blush of the Rose" a Waltz from "Regimental Band of the Republic" No. 030645.  Both lables on this disk are marked, "Sales Managers in New York City, USA".  There is an embossed number in the dead area of the record, "030794" on one side and "030645-2" on the other, both corresponding to the labels on each side.

Second Disk has only one song on one side.  The other side is flat with no grooves.  The song is "In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree," song # 031056 from Byron G. Harlan, Orch. Acc, which I suppose means Orchestral with accompaniment.  Sold by managers in Springfield, Mass, USA.

Each disk measures 10 5/8 inches in diameter.

There are no cracks in the shellac, but there are smudges. indentations and discoloration at the edges of each of the disks.  Please see photos.
