Here is are two superb vintage jazz 78's from my collection offered up for sale: Two CLASSIC original 78 rpm singles by Illinois Jacquet FLYING HOME / FLYING HOME on Aladdin records 101.Great track featuring Johnny Otis on drums, Russel Jacquet on trumpet, Sir Charles on piano. Stunning EX/ near MINT condition!! This song is a classic where the honking tenor sax was prominent for the first time on record. Jacquet had earlier performed it with the Lionel Hampton orchestra. PLUS: ILLINOIS BLOWS THE BLUES / BLOW ILLINOIS BLOW on Aladdin records 3001 ,( Illinois started his own west coast band around this time with a very young Charles Mingus on bass. I don't know who plays bass on this track. No musician credits are listed.) Breathtaking EX /near Mint condition!! Both records play superbly with outstanding sound clarity! Includes plain paper outer sleeve.
